Down to business — in teams

teamsteamsteams

The serious business of the convention started today, with the delegates dividing into teams to discuss the mission and identity of the Movement, and the various categories of membership.  Most of the delegates from the North American Territory participated in the two “English-speaking” teams, with the other six teams working in Spanish.  Spanish and English are the two “official” languages of the convention, although there are also participants with other first languages:  French, Portuguese and German.

Fr Eduardo Robles-Gils LC, our General Director, celebrated the Mass that closed the day, assisted by Deacon David Parker LC, a Wisconsin native who will be ordained to the priesthood in December.

In his homily, Fr Eduardo reminded the delegates that God has given Regnum Christi so many gifts.  We have not always taken the greatest advantage of those gifts, but God never tires of offering us mercy despite our weakness.  Father’s special Mass intention was that we in Regnum Christi have the spirit of truth and understanding, reaching always to see the face of God as a Movement.
