March 26, 2018 – The Day in Review

Inaugurating the General Chapter with Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Rome, Fr. Eduardo urged each chapter father to examine thoroughly the intentions of his own heart. He asked  them to reflect: “My heart, where is it? The intentions of my heart, where are they? I believe the Gospel of today invites us to persevere at this moment from the heart, from love, as a single people, with one spirit in the heart of God.”

In the introductory sessions, the Regulations of the General Chapter were presented by the General Director of the Legionaries of Christ and approved by the fathers by vote. These serve to organize the internal functioning of the Chapter.

The General Director, Fr. Eduardo Robles Gil, LC, read the Report of his Government, from when he was elected by the 2014 Extraordinary General Chapter to the present. After reading the report, he took questions.

Two territorial directors presented a report on the functioning of the Regnum Christi Territorial Committees in their respective territories. Tomorrow, the other territorial directors will give their report.
