Maria Knuth

Nací el 6 de marzo de 1982, soy de Minnesota, Estados Unidos, la tercera de cinco hijos. Me consagré el 22 de agosto de 2000 y actualmente estoy en la comunidad de Cincinnati, Ohio. Somos nueve consagradas en la comunidad.

En mi recorrido apostólico he trabajado en el ECYD de Michigan, Atlanta y actualmente en Cincinnati, colaborando también en la sección de jóvenes del Regnum Christi. Fui encargada de estudios en el Centro Estudiantil y di clases de formación católica en la preparatoria del colegio Pinecrest en Atlanta. Soy miembro del equipo equipo auxiliar del territorio en el área de apostolado y encargada territorial del ECYD, además de secretaria territorial.

Una de las experiencias más fuertes del carisma común fue durante una semana de capacitación que organicé para los formadores del ECYD (ECYD Week). Esa semana fue un momento clave para los cincuenta participantes, en los que Dios nos permitió acompañarlos para ir descubriendo cómo el ECYD es el carisma del Regnum Christi para los adolescentes. Al final, en un momento de puesta en común, una consagrada comentó: “entonces el ECYD es nuestro carisma y por lo tanto pertenece a todos”. Se sentía la presencia del Espíritu Santo que estaba sanando y renovando la confianza y encendiendo nuestros corazones.

Para esta asamblea espero que haya apertura y escucha para discernir juntas, confirmar este don del Espíritu y secundar su acción. Y les pido oraciones para que todos los participantes en las asambleas y Capítulo tengamos una actitud de humildad y apertura para poder dar el siguiente paso y ser un apoyo y una fuerza en la misión evangelizadora de la Iglesia.

I was born on March 6, 1982.  I am from the state of Minnesota in the United States.  I am the third of five children.  I was consecrated on August 22, 2000.  I am currently in the community in Cincinnati, Ohio.  We are nine consecrated women in the community.

My apostolic experience includes working in ECYD in Michigan, Atlanta and Cincinnati and helping in the Regnum Christi youth section.  I was responsible for the studies program of the girls in the pre-candidacy, and I have taught catholic formation classes to high school students in the Pinecrest School in Atlanta.  I am a member of the territorial auxiliary team in the area of apostolate.  I am also responsible for ECYD in the territory as well as the territorial secretariat.

One of the strongest experiences that I have had of the common charism was during a week of training that I organized for the ECYD formators (ECYD Week). That week was a key moment for the fifty participants.  God allowed us to accompany them so as to discover how ECYD is the charism of Regnum Christi for adolescents.  In a moment of sharing at the end of the week, a consecrated woman commented: «then ECYD is our charism and therefore belongs to everyone».  We felt the presence of the Holy Spirit who was healing and renewing trust and inflaming our hearts.

I hope that for the assembly there will be openness and listening to discern together, confirm this gift of the Spirit and support its action. I ask for prayers so that all the participants in the assemblies and general chapter have an attitude of humility and openness to be able to take the next step and to be a supportive force in the evangelizing mission of the Church.
